Let's Enjoy soundtrack

Does anyone know of a secure, reliable source to purchase the Let's Enjoy soundtrack on CD? I tried Amazon.com but they don't seem to carry it, at least in the U.S.A.

Many thanks,
Caerann

Have you tried the Indian stores in Devon?

Here is one specialty retailer that has come up in the Bollywood tribe--Shrimati's--and it looks like they do carry Let's Enjoy

Thank you, Jacques! I have not searched the Devon stores but that is a great idea. How do you know of Devon, btw?

I usually frequent India Bookhouse and Journals but find their markups can be a bit pricey and instead of just perusing the fabric stores and buying too many bangles I should check out the other music stores, yes? =O)

      Many thanks mon ami,

Devon in Chicago is world famous, everyone who loves South Asian culture, music, and cuisine knows where to go when they visit the windy city :)

The Let's Enjoy OST is at least three years old, so in case the stores no longer carry in, try Shrimati's online (I believe they're in Berkeley, CA)--type in midival punditz in the search field and amongst the results should be the soundtrack.

        Happy listening and dancing ~*~

Dude, I already bought the CD from Shrimati's after I read your first post! =O) When I want something I never hesitate to go after it and after hearing some of the tracks often enough on Ethnotechno.com to recognize them, I knew I had to have it! By the goddess, Tapan and Gaurav are supremely gifted and yet so sweet and unassuming. (I met them when my buddies Radiohiro and Warp hosted them for Bombay Beatbox.)

Wow, I had no idea Devon is that famous, but I can certainly vouch for the fabulosity of the shops and restaurants. =O)

            Radiohiro and DJ Warp rule!

I had a chance to catch Radiohiro's set in the World Breaks room of 1015 Folsom at Dhamaal SF's Worldly event in Frisco, March 06. The following nite, I caught DJ Warp opening for MC Rai's live set with Jef Stott at Stateless SF (the Six Degrees Nite in SF) at Amnesia.

Chi-town is very fortunate indeed to have its own Asian Massive nite :)

I caught the PunditZ dj set at Worldly in SF as well in September 05. When I was in Jaipur, India, January of last year, they did a live electronica set with singers at this former factory turned underground venue, Mann Industries, as part of the Virasat Foundation's Jaipur Heritage International Fest. Two amazing experiences with the PunditZ, since their dj set was more ethnotrance-oriented (they previewed a lot of the remixes since released this year) and the live set focused more on their original tracks with live singers, including their (new at the time) electronic take on Vande Mataram.

            In-joy Let's Enjoy! :D

Three years after the original release of the Let's Enjoy OST, Six Degrees Records is now making it available to US fans in a digital format

Dude I know, I saw that. =O) Been wondering how you are....haven't seen you "on" lately. I bought an MP3 of Four Sticks over the weekend cause I LOVE what Tappan and Groovio have done with that song. =O) Wonder if Plant and Page have heard it..........

      Peace!
      • Yup, I love the entire Backspin compilation. Initially, what jumped out at me were the KK and OdB tracks.

Are you in the Six Degrees tribe as well, Caerann? If you are, there are some fun threads on the Backspin compilation where you can chime in. Yeah, it would be interesting to hear Plant & Page's reaction to the PunditZ reworking their classic. I have no doubt they are aware, being that the PunditZ played some major UK festivals this year like Glastonbury and Plant is quite into world music these days with his new project performing at WOMAD :)

Hey, I know you're a dancer too, and speaking of Six Degrees, are you excited about their release roster for next year? I know I am with new albums by Niyaz, Jef Stott, Dub Qawwali remixes, and the first one--Devotion from Cheb i Sabbah out next month! Did you see him when he played Sonotheque last month?

Back to the PunditZ, they did a track for the SRK movie Chak De India which I also love.

        Happy dancing holidaze ~*~
